We are Champions!

Congratulations to our students and staff involved in the Schools of Sanctuary initiative on achieving ‘Champion’ status following yesterday’s monitoring appraisal visit – the first New Ross school to attain this status. The monitoring team consisted of Tiffy Allen, National Co-ordinator, lead teacher from Loreto Wexford Michelle Jordan and her team of three sanctuary ambassadors and Stephanie Warner, Wexford County Council Integration Officer. The monitoring team got an opportunity to meet students, teachers and Principal, visit classes and witness the many different initiatives undertaken by the hard-working Schools of Sanctuary team. The monitoring group was very impressed by the clear sense that the whole school is deeply committed to all aspects of sanctuary. As part of the sharing of knowledge we were delighted to welcome students and staff from Bun Scoil Rís, CBS Secondary School, Our Lady of Lourdes and New Ross Educate Together to our event.
